It’s (finally!) Official – Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are engaged, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The couple, who have been dating for almost three years, has dodged several rumors of engagement in any relationship.

In November 2008, the model, 27, and British actor, 33, shot down a report in the Australian media that they were married. Six months later, the two kept fans guessing when Kerr was seen with a diamond on her finger in his left hand, although representatives have not commented at the time.

When the two recently spent Thanksgiving together in Morocco, Bloom told reporters that he and Kerr were “now just enjoying our time together” when asked if they would marry soon.

“He’s a sweetheart and that’s all I’ll say,” Kerr, who spoke about settle down and start a family in the future, told People in February 2008.

“My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a house with solar energy, with a network and a vegetable garden,” she told Page Six Magazine in 2008. “When it’s all over, that’s where I’ll be. I always wanted to have children, then one day, eventually, yes, it will happen. ”

A source revealed: “All four are excited and interested in the role, but whoever is going to change the tone of the end of the movie. Ray will be great as Regan, but the chemistry between him and Carter to be great. ”
The script, done by the writer of the Football Factory, Nick Love and creator of TV series, Ian Kennedy Martin, was seized by the British company at Vertigo, who are eager to begin filming in 2011.
